INSURANCE:
I am a private-pay only practitioner, meaning that I am “out-of-network” for insurance companies. I do provide patients with a monthly superbill that they can submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement.
I recommend asking your insurance provider the following questions:
- Does my insurance plan cover mental health benefits?
- Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much is it and have I met it yet this year?
- What is my co-pay or coverage for outpatient mental health?
- Does my insurance plan have a limit on the number of covered sessions per year? If yes, what is the limit?
I provide weekly long-term therapy in 50-minute sessions, virtually or in-person. Therapy with me is fairly unstructured - I like when my patients plop down in their chairs and just start talking about whatever comes to mind. I trust the unconscious - it will lead us somewhere!
Therapy with me has no time limit or requirement, although therapy is certainly not a quick-fix endeavor. It takes a while to develop the trust and relationship necessary to positive therapeutic outcomes.
By testing it! I offer prospective patients a complimentary 20-minute virtual consultation to help determine if we’d be a good fit for therapy. To schedule a consultation with me, please email dr.claire.rodgers@gmail.com
Because my patients’ appointment times are reserved specifically for them, I require at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. If a session is canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, the full fee will be charged. This reflects respect for both my time and my patients’.
My patients are all allotted 3 allotted cancellations per year (meaning, they can miss a session for vacation, for example, with no charge).
